If you’re looking for paradise, well look no further because I’ve found a hidden gem in Ubud, Indonesia. Bambu Indah is an eco retreat located in the quiet forestland in the hills of Ubud.
Founded by eco-pointers John and Cynthia hardy, this place was built with sustainability and luxury kept in mind down to every minor detail including construction materials, home-grown ingredients for their menu’s and the fresh water swimming pool.
I got to soak in every element this retreat has to offer with a bunch of my closet girlfriends and a 6 month old child (which is probably the one and only small mistake i made – not so child friendly) and we rented out the extraordinary Pagoda house which is 4 floors of tree house dreams. This bamboo and natural wooden built tower is everything that your childhood fantasies could ever conjure. I would recommend staying minimum of 2 nights as there are so many corners of this place that you will want to explore and you definitely don’t want to be rushed. Get out of the Hustle and bustle and eat from fresh organic produce, do some yoga and breathe in that crisp fresh air. Enjoy!
